8 March: Women in atSistemas without limits

International Women’s Day is commemorated every March 8th as a symbol of women’s struggle for their participation in society and their full development as individuals, on an equal footing with men.

International Women’s Day was marked for a first time by the United Nations in 1975. Then in December 1977, the General Assembly adopted a resolution proclaiming a United Nations Day for Women’s Rights and International Peace to be observed on any day of the year by Member States, in accordance with their historical and national traditions.

Women in atSistemas without limits

This year, atSistemas is joining this important milestone with the campaign: “Women in atSistemas without limits” with which we demonstrate our commitment to gender equality, recognition of heterogeneity, and the elimination of any exclusionary and discriminatory behavior.

Therefore, in this campaign, we have had the participation of some of the women in our company who have shared their stories and how they live their lives without setting any limits. Brave women with determination who continue to fight to overcome the challenges that life puts in front of them and reach their own goals.

Women without limits

Cristina Fernández Villegas

It has always been clear to me that I wanted to work in HR and be in a People department. When I was studying Psychology, I was one of the few students who didn’t start out wanting to be a Clinical Psychologist. When I set my sights on an achievement, I set specific goals and actions to realise it. I never imagined myself leading a department, but life surprises you when reality far exceeds your dreams and goals.

Virginia Martinez Herranz

Motivation accompanies me, both in my professional career and in my personal life. My ambition drives my way of living and working so I exceed my expectations of myself in everything I do or pursue. I have set myself no limits in continuing my training, in my personal development as a professional, so that I can take on any challenge or overcome any obstacle. I have even set myself the goal of preparing to take part in a triathlon!

Pilar Gómez Navarro

I have never set myself limits when it comes to growing both personally and professionally. Everything in life leaves a legacy and you decide if you use life’s lessons to improve. I continue to train and enjoy working with my team as well as the new people I meet, as they all play a part in my experience. You have to learn to enjoy these moments and, above all, never set limits because of what people will say. I work hard so that my daughters learn to strive to achieve their dreams, to be independent women, and to see that the only limits they will encounter are the ones their minds impose. If they manage to overcome these mental limitations, they will realise that the world is a wonderful place full of opportunities and that you have to enjoy life.

Anna Triska

On a personal and professional level, I have always been very passionate and tenacious in everything I set my mind to. I have been in this sector for more than 30 years and I love it because it is constantly moving, and after so many years it still allows me to keep growing with new knowledge and new ways of working. I have been able to work in many areas such as Marketing, Communication, Partner Management, Business Development and I have always been enriched thanks to the teamwork with magnificent professionals that you find in this sector.

Daniela Fernández Hernández

I have set no limits for myself, and I feel secure in knowing that no matter what the challenge might be, I will be able to overcome it. I trust in my experience, in my ability to learn what I need to learn, and in the people around me to support me when I need it. Every day is an opportunity to improve, grow or reinvent myself if necessary. I have not set myself limits in raising my voice and giving my opinion – always being faithful to my values and principles.

Daniela Victoria Schneider

I have learned that the only limits that exist are the ones we impose on ourselves. My curiosity and restlessness have led me to venture into the unknown, from living in different countries to changing careers, which has allowed me to grow and develop in ways I never imagined. I enjoy thinking of obstacles as challenges and knowing that every experience is an opportunity to learn.

Jessica Iglesias

Many years ago I decided never to give up and to never to stop fighting. Not only do I not put up barriers, but I also set out every day to overcome all the obstacles that life has put, puts and will continue to put in my way. I overcome these challenges in order to fulfil the simple dream of living, full time, the way I want and always being myself, both personally and professionally. Above all, I will never again allow anyone to tell me what I am worth, what I know, what I can do and what I can become. I don’t set limits in showing my weaknesses and my strengths, in being authentic and transparent, or in crying and laughing when I need to. Every day I strive to become the woman, mother and manager that I have always wanted to be and each day, I get a little closer.

Esther Hernández

In exploration and continuous learning. Always keep evolving from adaptation and flexibility is my vital mantra. And the best way to evolve is to learn and grow from curiosity to get closer to incredible ideas, technologies and people with which to understand and improve this world.
